Brian Jones is a seasoned educator, mentor, and coach who brings more than 38 years of experience in the field of education, leadership, and personal development. Now retired from a distinguished career that spanned roles from classroom teacher and consultant to principal and Leadership Officer with the Ministry of Education in Toronto, Ontario, Brian continues to inspire and empower others as they navigate the many transitions life brings.

He has presented internationally on emotional intelligence, inclusionary practices, and instructional strategies, and is currently a contract instructor at Ontario Tech University, teaching future educators in the Faculty of Education.
Brian’s passion for helping individuals and organizations grow has extended into his work as a mentor coach, where he supports people facing pivotal life transitions—whether it’s career changes, marriage and relationships, becoming a parent or grandparent, navigating midlife and aging, moving into retirement, coping with loss and grief, or managing health crises. Brian doesn’t just coach from the sidelines—he has lived through each of these transitions himself.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Brian is an adventurer at heart. He’s checked off many items on his retirement “bucket list,” from running half-marathons and practicing daily yoga to hybridizing daylilies in his family’s display gardens and supporting remote village schools in Guatemala. He also co-hosts the podcast Coffee and Conversations for Men, creating space for honest dialogue about life, growth, and masculinity.
Brian brings warmth, wisdom, and real-life insight to every forum he facilitates—especially on the topic of Life Transitions, where his personal journey and professional expertise converge to support others with empathy and encouragement.
