Haydon Shrum
Haydon grew up in rural Oklahoma. He worked in the Tech industry for several years before pursuing medicine. In 2005 he became an EMT-Basic and worked on an ambulance for the 911 service in Temple Texas. In 2012, he attended Los Angeles Trade and Technical College receiving an Associates of Arts in Natural Science. In 2014, he transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to be closer to his family. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies in 2017. In 2018, he was accepted into the Physician Assistant Program at Saint Louis University. Throughout his medical career he has worked in Emergency medicine, the Emergency room, Internal medicine, and primary care. He currently works as a Physician Assistant for a large healthcare company that provides in-home health evaluations and value-based care services in 50 states. He currently resides in the greater Saint Louis area with his spouse and one dog.
Haydon is a compassionate, and dedicated physician assistant with experience working with patients with limited health literacy. Highly organized and innovative, with excellent attention to detail; adapts well to, and excels in, ever-changing environments; undaunted by pressure or demanding tasks; exudes a positive and enthusiastic demeanor under adversity while using tact, discretion, and cultural sensitivity, in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with patients, family members, primary care providers, supervising physicians, and peers.
